As a successful model, Luke Edmeade gets to travel all over the world, so you could say that he’s no stranger to following his dreams. We sat down with Luke and chatted about fashion, modelling and his plans for the future.

You’ve recently been on a shoot in Ibiza. What was your favourite part about the shoot? Did you get to do anything fun?

My favourite part about the shoot was meeting and interacting with everyone. I’d met a few of people before but not the whole team so it was good to see the family environment that they’ve created and to be brought into it.

Easily the most fun thing for myself was traveling on a yacht. That’s one thing I can tick off my bucket list for sure!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?

As boring as it may seem, I already live where I’d want to live and that’s here in the UK. As much as I love travelling and seeing new countries and cultures, there’s no better feeling coming home to family and friends.

How long have you been modelling for?

I’ve been a full time model for just over a year now.

How did you first get into modelling? Can you remember what you wore for your first ever shoot?

I got scouted at 17/18 while I was just minding my own business! I took time out for my studies and then came back into the industry.

As for what I wore to my first shoot, I can just about remember that it was a very colourful and frilly shirt, some really tight trousers and brogue like shoes.

What’s a typical day like for you on a shoot?

A typical day for myself consists of breakfast, which is key because you can’t be shooting when you’re low on energy. Then speaking to the crew asking how everyone is etc. After that it’s off to hair and makeup to make me look pretty. Once thats all done it’s then shooting, posing and constant clothing changes.

Whose style do you admire the most?

I’ve always been an admirer of Pharrell Williams. There’s just that coolness about him and who else could pull out those huge hats really?

Would you say you’re a trendsetter or follower of fashion?

Tough question! I’d like to say I’m a trendsetter but then I do get inspiration from others. However, I do like to add my own twist - so I’d say I’m a bit of a mix.

What’s your favourite KWD item of clothing?

From shooting them in ibiza I have to say it’s the swim shorts. They were really comfy and they dried super fast - so I wasn’t soaking wet for too long.

Are you a tracksuit or jeans kinda guy?

I’m going to be controversial here, I am team jeans over tracksuits.

What do you like to do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies?

Other than catching up on my sleep, I will try to fit a few gym sessions in, but I do like to go and play tennis or badminton as much as I can.

And finally, what does the future hold for you? Do you have any other projects in the pipeline?

My plans for the future are to of course continue shooting with yourselves as well as going out to America to push myself once again with a new challenge
