So, it’s Halloween night. You’re dipping your hand into a plastic pumpkin full of sweets and aimlessly scrolling through Netflix, completely stuck for choice. Let us make it easy for you. Here at Kings Will Dream we’ve picked out the creepiest and scariest Netflix watches this Halloween night, whether you’re braving it on your own or hiding behind your girlfriend’s (or mum’s) back.
1. Stranger Things

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you should have seen the hype surrounding the highly anticipated second series of Stranger Things. The latest addition promises creepier creatures and more telekinetic powers than ever before, so if you haven’t even seen the first series, we’d strongly recommend prepping yourself and catching up on this classic, 80’s themed sci-fi.
2. Death Note

Based on its Manga namesake, Death Note is dark fantasy horror with stylish suspense. The spine-tingling narrative begins when a high school student finds a notepad that gives him the power to kill anyone he chooses, just by scrawling their name across the page. With a rumoured sequel just around the corner, it might be worth spending your weekend brushing up on this so that you can brag to your mates when the follow up arrives.
3. The Wailing

For those who aren’t aware, The Wailing is a South Korean horror with a nail biting story line: a stranger arrives in a small village and soon after, an unexplainable sickness begins to spread. Cue a local policeman trying to solve the mystery, and you’ve got yourself a Halloween must-watch – that is, of course, if you don’t mind reading the subtitles.
4. Chucky Child’s Play

It wouldn’t be a scary movie binge without an appearance from a horror icon. You know the story: a crazed serial killer gets chased by the police, and so transfers his soul into a toy to avoid capture – it’s a tale as old as time. After all, what screams Halloween more than a knife wielding doll with questionable hair and dungarees?
5. The Babysitter

Ever wonder what your babysitter was up to when you went to bed? Well, it’s time to find out. This Netflix exclusive stars sex symbol Bella Thorne in a funny yet gory film that brings all of the good stuff: babysitters, explosions and human sacrifice.
6. 1922

The newest horror to hit the KWD must watch list is the all-new Netflix original, 1922. Hailing from the main man himself, Stephen King, the story features a farmer who plots to murder his wife, and manages to get their son to take part too. Throw in a couple of creaky barn doors and creepy cornfields and you’ve got yourself a Halloween horror hit.
7. American Horror Story

If you’ve not watched this piece of TV genius yet, don’t sweat it – just make sure you don’t leave it any longer. From a murder house to an insane asylum, every episode of AHS (right up to the sixth series) is available for you to binge on until your heart’s content. And, with the latest series on TV now, it won’t be long until that hits Netflix, too.
8. Hostel

Hostel is exactly what it says on the tin – a film about hostels. But, more than that, it’s a film about two travellers who are preyed upon by a group of killers and kidnappers. Directed by Eli Roth, and co-produced by Quentin Tarantino, this is a must-watch for those looking for a sure-fire scare this Halloween.
9. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2

A sequel to the gory original, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 sees Leatherface back at it again with his chainsaw-wielding, cannibalistic ways. With a power tool in hand, and the rest of his disturbed family in tow, Leatherface sets his sights on a local DJ – but you’ll have to watch to find out what happens next. Why not make it a marathon and watch the rest of the franchise while you’re at it?
10. Scary Movie

What’s your favourite scary movie? Chances are, if you were born in the ‘90s, it’s this iconic horror spoof. Featuring twists on all of your favourite horror favourites, including Scream, The Sixth Sense and The Blair Witch Project, what’s not to love about this Wayans Brothers production.
So, there you have it – our full list of horror watches to take you through Halloween weekend. While you’re at it, you might need something fresh to chill in. Make sure to check out our latest tracksuit hook ups for maximum style and comfort on the street or in this case, on the couch.
